why the move? outgrew the older space or isp issues?
I moved, in the physical sense. A temporary hiatus, of course, until a much more significant relocation scheduled in January.
Yes, I am living with my folks for the interim. The food is better, to be sure. And far freer to boot.
As far as this site goes, I actually do all of this myself, from patching the linux server to setting up the domains, to the meager artwork--so it would (will) be a production to move all this stuff over to a paid host, and frankly I hesitate to do that for two reasons: a.) it would take me at least a month to get (almost) everything working in a shared-server environment (databases, etc), and b.) I've become far too accustomed to my quasi-dictatorial 7-layer control of this web presence. ;)
Come January I'll be left with no other option, so I'm working on it bit by bit.

I got a new job in San Antonio that starts in 06, and I hope to find a spot as close to Austin as possible. I love Austin.
Bubs: Why paid hosting? Well, I doubt I'll be assured a place to set up this monster while I'm haulin' my shoite across country, so I figure a cozy little spot with mediatemple is gonna be my best bet.
I have some pictures of my upside-down life that I plan to
blog sometime this week. Living out of large plastic bags is probably worth writing about, eh?

evan, I think that's where the "hinky" part comes in... at least that's what I was told:)
I also think that living out of plastic bags (or if you're lucky, some nice, sturdy boxes) is vastly underrated.
